Around twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on the start of the week after severe thunderstorms swept through the region, producing strong winds topping 109km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Widespread Damage
Residents observed large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.

Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.
Tuesday was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent thunderstorm potential predicted across various areas of both areas.

Public health experts warned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the northern rural areas, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
